Arts Education Summit

Parents, students, educators, and community members are invited to this day-long conference to build support for and understanding of the benefits of arts learning for young people.

The day will include an inspiring keynote speaker, a discussion about arts education and advocacy with a panel of experts, educational breakout sessions, and more.

This year, the Arts Council awarded grants to 32 local arts organizations and professional artists.  Grants are made possible by the City of Long Beach.

2009 State of the Arts and Distinguished Arts Awards

On November 18, the Arts Council for Long Beach hosted its annual State of the Arts and Distinguished Arts Awards honoring the Port of Long Beach, Maestro Enrique Arturo Diemecke, Andreas Mitisek and Antonio Ruiz, at the beautifully restored Art Theatre in Long Beach.
