LGB100 Mural Program Overview

Professional digital media artists are encouraged to submit their work to showcase their artistic vision and skills in the digital medium. As a commitment to fostering the arts community, ArtsLB is offering $10,000 to the chosen artist for the large-scale mural, which will be displayed at Long Beach Airport, captivating travelers and residents alike.

The selected artist will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the historical celebration of Long Beach Airport’s centennial through their artwork.

Up to five semi-finalists will also be selected and commissioned for smaller-scale temporary art vinyl mural projects. The diverse range of commissioned artworks will collectively add to the vibrant tapestry of creativity at Long Beach Airport and reflect the remarkable talent of artists from across the country.

This Call for Art is nationwide and the final artwork will be unveiled at the anniversary celebration in Fall 2023. This is the third Call for Art program with Long Beach Airport in partnership with the Arts Council for Long Beach.
