Allie Ross

Drawing is how I channel my anxiety into something positive. I’m a doctor of Occupational Therapy at the VA Long Beach by day, and on nights and weekends I create art. My job can be intense at times, and being an essential worker during the pandemic has been stressful. Art has been my most important coping strategy during this time.

My designs are inspired by bold mountain ranges, the delicate lines that make them up, and the soft waves of the sea. I moved to California from the East Coast 6 years ago, and the landscape has captivated me ever since. My work brings me calm, comfort and relief, and I hope it can give those feelings to others too.
