Arts Learning Signature Programs
Arts Learning programs at Arts Council for Long Beach enrich the lives of Long Beach citizens by delivering interdisciplinary, multicultural arts programs and services that inspire creativity, celebrate diversity, promote tolerance, and contribute to the vitality of the arts in our community. Arts Learning programs serve people of all ages, including school children through artist residency programs, and provide employment and training to individual artists and arts and cultural groups.

Arts Council for Long Beach strives to discover unique and innovative programs for learners that are not provided through other local arts groups. By identifying the gaps in local arts education, the Arts Council is able to take a more creative approach in its programming. Without a permanent collection to rely on, or a singular arts discipline to adhere to, the Arts Council can network and collaborate on a national level to identify interdisciplinary programs that can be tailored to fill a specialized niche in the Long Beach community. Current programs offered by the Arts Council:
- Passport to the Arts provides dance, theater, music and visual arts experiences that focus on cultural traditions.
- Eye on Design teaches public art and design by highlighting local history and the public art process.
- Arts Education Enricment Grant provides extended arts education experiences for K-12 classrooms.
Arts and Cultural Education (ACE) Directory
The Arts Council for Long Beach has launched its new Arts and Culture Education (A.C.E.) Directory, which will serve as a comprehensive guide to the arts and cultural programs available to Long Beach youth. The directory will also provide arts organizations the chance to broaden their audience base by attracting young people to their art form through varied and enriching cultural activities, classes and performances. The goal of this project is to highlight both new and upcoming organizations and more established programs throughout the community. Click here to visit the A.C.E. Directory.
