The Arts Council for Long Beach is partnering with the Port of Long Beach (POLB) for the fifth annual PHOTO program, a free three-part photography experience. Whether you’re a pro with a camera or interested in learning the basics, you’re invited to register for the lottery on Wednesday, June 28, anytime between noon and 8 p.m.

The three-part program begins in July with an orientation facilitated by talented POLB photographers, followed by an exclusive twilight photo shoot of the Port aboard a boat. The program culminates with a gallery opening in October in conjunction with October is Arts Month where work from all participants will be featured at the Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA). This is the first year the gallery will be exhibited at LBMA and we couldn’t be more excited to have the photographs featured at the highly regarded museum.

The only requirement to participate is a DSLR camera. Due to exceptionally high demand, participants will be selected through a lottery system and only first-time participants will be eligible.
