During a recent visit to the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Rocco Landesman praised Long Beach for its recent arts initiatives and its adaptation of the National Endowment for the Arts' "Art Works" campaign.

During his speech, he held aloft the Arts Council for Long Beach's "Art Works! LB" placard.

Chairman Landesman also raised a Gazette Newspapers photograph that showed arts supporters filling the Long Beach City Council Chambers in support of five new arts initiatives recently passed by the City Council.

Today, Chairman Landesman again included Long Beach during a presentation to the National Endowment for the Arts' National Council on the Arts in Washington, DC.

Video of Chairman Landesman's presentation to the National Council on the Arts will be available soon on the NEA's Art Works blog.
