Meet our Spring 2010 Arts Learning Intern

The Arts Council for Long Beach welcomes Jessica Lah as its Spring 2010 Arts Learning Intern.

Jessica is currently earning her BFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University - Long Beach, and recently studied abroad at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and CSU Summer Arts in Italy. 

"My passion is to bring art awareness to the public and inspire others to get actively involved in their community arts programs," she states. 

Before joining the Arts Council, Jessica taught drawing and painting for KidsArt in Yorba Linda, CA; Inspyr Arts in Long Beach, CA; and Hillview High Continuation School in Tustin, CA.  She has also exhibited and sold her personal artwork at CSULB and Winter Art Auction 2009 benefitting the Long Beach Rescue Mission.

We welcome Jessica to the team as we continue to serve the arts community.

About the Arts Learning Department Internship Program

The Arts Learning Department hires one part-time intern for the fall semester and spring semester.  Past internship projects have included: The creation of an online arts education directory; Research and design of program manuals for arts learning programs; and Event planning.  The next internship position will be available in Fall 2010.
