Join the ARTS+ revolution and earn rewards while attending arts events! The ARTS+ card, facilitated by the Arts Council for Long Beach, brings together Long Beach’s art organizations and local restaurants to create an art enthusiast incentive card. By attending ARTS+ events, you earn punches into your own frequent patron card to participate in this new initiative throughout April and May 2015. After two and three punches, you’re eligible to receive discounts and complimentary meal add-ons exclusive for ARTS+ card patrons. And that is not all! If you attend four or more of the ARTS+ events then you are entered into a grand prize drawing that boasts an evening out on the town and, most importantly for art enthusiasts, complimentary tickets to upcoming events!
Not only does this initiative offer incentives for attending some of our city’s incredible art events, but ARTS+ encourages patrons to explore other arts organizations that they may not be familiar with. Long Beach is lucky to host premiere museums, theatres, and music organizations and if you’re a fan of one, chances are if you will enjoy others too. Always wanted to see a symphony? Interested in an afternoon soaking up art at Long Beach Museum? By attending just those two events, you are already eligible for a restaurant reward! For the inaugural arts card, available April and May 2015, the following organizations are participating: Carpenter Performing Arts Center, International City Theatre, Long Beach Museum of Art, Long Beach Opera, Long Beach Playhouse, Long Beach Symphony, Museum of Latin American Art, Musical Theatre West, and University Art Museum.
Victoria Bryan, Executive Director of the Arts Council for Long Beach, remarks, “Whether you are new to our city or have called Long Beach home for many years, the ARTS+ card is a way to explore cultural assets here.”
The ARTS+ card would not be possible without the generous involvement of the restaurants offering exclusive premiums to art enthusiasts. Incentives are available at: Utopia, District Thai, Berlin/Portfolio Coffee House. With more restaurant announcements on the way!
You can pick up a card at ANY of the participating art organizations or the Arts Council for Long Beach’s office (350 Elm Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802) on April 1, 2015. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
